BMX Bike

Executive summary about BMX bike by Peter Gitundu

The BMX Bike is very popular in races.

The BMX bike is available in two types. The first type is used in normal racing on the muddy track. This type of bicycle is lightweight and is not as strong as the freestyle type. The second type is freestyle. This type can be used in jumping and performing various stunts.

Both types of the BMX bike have parts that can be easily assembled. These parts fit so well such that there is no chance of them falling apart or being dislodged.

The handles of this kind of bicycle are well padded, strong and do not bend easily. This allows them to absorb the shocks caused by heavy landing.

Used BMX Bike Buyer Guide For Beginners

Executive summary about BMX bike by Keith Nederhoed

This guide will help you out when deciding to buy a used BMX bike. There are many things to consider when buying a used bike, but I feel these are the most important for beginners.

Frame:

The frame is the most important part of buying a used bike. Taller riders will want longer top tubes. Also check and see if it’s a stock frame. A stock frame is one that can be bought with a complete bike.

Wheels:

Wheels are also a very important piece of a used BMX bike. Try and get a used BMX bike with double wall rims or better. Also check to see what kind of hub the rims have. Try and get a bike that has wheels with a cassette hub. Chrome rims have the absolute best braking surface, the pads easily grip to the chrome. With Black rims, as well as other colors, the pad has a tougher time slowing the rim due to the paint.

Fork:

Forks are the last main thing to look at when it comes to purchasing a used BMX bike. Like frames, forks are not something that you want to be stock. Stock forks quickly become bent forks. The last thing to consider with forks is brake mounts. Most riders only ride with rear brakes, but some riders use front brakes. If you’re a rider who wants front brakes check to see if they have brake mounts.

Looking at all the above things will result in you buying a solid BMX bike those suites your riding style.
